Her professional journey was profoundly influenced by her mentor, Alan Buchanan, a renowned yacht designer responsible for thousands of vessels. Alan himself was mentored by Sir Barnes Wallis, the legendary aircraft designer known for creating the Lancaster bomber and the “bouncing bomb” used in the Dambusters raid. This lineage of mentorship underscores the depth of knowledge and tradition that Kathy brings to her surveying practice.
